1/4 cup water
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup rum
1 cup tomato paste
1 cup vinegar
1/3 cup Daddy Hinkle's Liquid
3 tablespoon Daddy Hinkle's Original Dry
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon red pepper (optional for spicy sauce)

In a saucepan over low heat mix the brown sugar, tomato paste, vinegar, water, Daddy Hinkle's Original dry seasoning, Daddy Hinkle's Liquid rum, lemon juice, dry mustard, and red pepper (optional). Simmer 30 minutes stirring occasionally until all ingredients are well combined and thickened. Cool and refrigerate until ready to use.
