2 cups sugar
1 ½ cups vegetable oil
2 eggs
½ cup molasses
4 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking soda
1 tablespoon ginger
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
2 packages of vanilla baking chips
½ cup shortening
Wax paper

Roll into ¾ “ balls and coat with sugar before baking
Get a glass and lightly press the cookies somewhat flat

Bake at 350 degrees on a lightly greased cookie sheet for approx. 10 minutes

Melt the chips with the shortening and dip half the cookie in chocolate after they have cooled

Yields about 4 dozen cookies
