Pumpkin Spice Rice Krispie Treats: Submitted by: Wendy R. Cook | Date Added: 17 Nov 2019
Listed in: Desserts
Ingredients

5 cups of Rice Krispies Cereal
5 cups of mini marshmallows
5 tablespoons of butter
Pumpkin pie spice
Pumpkin cookie cutter
Fall non-pareils sprinkles

Cooking Instructions

1. Melt 5 tablespoons of butter in a medium pan on medium heat. Once the butter has melted, continue to heat the butter until it starts to foam. Stir occasionally you want the butter to get to this nice brown nutty color. Watch it closely so the butter doesn't burn.
2. Add the 5 cups of mini marshmallows to the brown butter and continue to stir until the marshmallows are melted.
3. Add 2 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice. Turn off the heat and stir until the spices are completely mixed with the marshmallows.
4. Add the 5 cups of rice krispies cereal and stir until the cereal is completely coated in the marshmallow mixture. For some extra fall pizzazz we folded some fall nonpareils into our rice krispie treat mixture. We added about 1 1/2 tablespoons of sprinkles.
5. Mold the rice krispie treat mixture into a pumpkin shaped cookie cutter.
6. Repeat until you have used all the rice krispie treat mixture.
